London-based wine and spirits merchant Berry Bros & Rudd has launched four blended malt Scotch whiskies, part of The Classic Range of spirits sold by the company.
The new line-up of four whiskies joins the recently relaunched Berry Bros & Rudd London Dry Gin to form the company’s Classic Range of own-label spirits.
The Classic Range includes:
- Speyside Blended Malt Scotch Whisky, 44.2% abv, 700ml, £32
- Islay Blended Malt Scotch Whisky, 44.2% abv, 700ml, £32
- Sherry Cask Matured Blended Malt Scotch Whisky, 44.2% abv, 700ml, £32
- Peated Cask Matured Blended Malt Scotch Whisky, 44.2% abv, 700ml, £32
All four were blended by Berry Bros spirits buyer Doug McIvor and brands heritage director Ronnie Cox, whose signatures feature on the labels.
‘The name Berry Bros & Rudd in connection with wine and spirits means liquid in a bottle which exudes ever-trustworthy quality and flavour,’ said Cox.
‘It was with these values that Dougie and I assembled this range – a hugely enjoyable task.
‘The result is a variety of top-quality blended malts not only delivering what they say on the label, but a “go-to” portfolio to suit a variety of palates and moods.’
McIvor added: ‘For excellence, I look for balance and complexity, maturity and texture. Equally, age is not king; maturity counts for much more.’
As well as the UK, the whiskies will be available in a number of global markets, among them France, Germany, Sweden, Spain, Italy, Canada, Japan, Taiwan and Australia.
