Castle Hill distillery is thought to have operated at Castle Hill Farm, Carluke in South Lanarkshire. The farm – which still exists today – is beside the Bowridge Burn, which feeds into the Garrion Burn, which flows west to the Clyde.

Castle Hill History

Castle Hill distillery was opened in 1827 by Robert Reid. It had a good run (for the time) closing five years later in 1833.
