Ecclefechan distillery

Lowland Single Malt Scotch Whisky

A short-lived rural distillery just south of its namesake village, long bypassed by the M74, in Dumfries and Galloway.

While the distillery may only have operated for a short year, Ecclefechan is well-known as the birthplace of the historian Thomas Carlyle.

It seems Ecclefechan  distillery sat beside the Kirkland Sike, a stream that flows down to the Mein Water near Ecclefechan.
