South Baloch distillery

Highland Single Malt Scotch Whisky

Several farms and a holiday cottage called Balloch exist today: East Balloch, West Balloch, Little Balloch, Bridgend of Balloch but, ironically, no South Balloch.

All sit in a hilly area at the foot of the Angus Glens on or close to various watercourses that feed into the Carity (or Quharity) Burn.

The location of South Balloch/Baloch, and the distillery that once operated there, remains a mystery. Whether it has been demolished or renamed is unknown. Although many miles from Montrose, the distillery is listed in the Montrose Collection area.
